Medical & Prescription Drug Coverage
As a Pfizer colleague, you can get the coverage that best fits your care needs. The average cost of the Pfizer Medical Plan per colleague is over $20,000 per year — with Pfizer paying a significant majority of the cost. Pfizer offers a choice of three medical plan options, including one that comes with a tax-advantaged Health Savings Account (HSA) with a Company contribution for most colleagues. You can choose between having UnitedHealthcare (UHC) or Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield (Horizon) as your medical claims administrator. You’ll also get prescription drug coverage with most Pfizer medications covered at no cost when you enroll in Pfizer medical coverage.
Medical Support Programs
From navigating treatment for a common condition, to getting a medical second opinion and finding the right care for a complex medical condition, you’ll have access to various medical support programs. Benefits for fertility, adoption and surrogacy are also available. Additionally, onsite physical therapy, wellness clinics, and health coaching are available at certain locations for convenient care.

You and your family can take advantage of no-cost programs and resources through Healthy Pfizer, including nutrition management, health coaching, and wellness platforms, to help you focus on your physical health, foster better mental health, and practice mindfulness. AND, you don’t need to be enrolled in Pfizer medical coverage to use these resources. You’ll also have the opportunity to earn up to $500 annually to use any way you like by completing wellness activities.
Dental
To keep you and your family smiling, you’ll have the choice between two dental options through Delta Dental. Under both, you can visit any dental provider, and preventive care is generally covered at 100 percent. Both options cover basic and major services, as well as orthodontia for children and adults.
Vision
Comprehensive vision coverage through EyeMed is available for routine eye care expenses, including eye examinations and an annual allowance for contacts and eyewear. You’ll also have access to additional discounts once you’ve used your regular in-network vision benefits.
